"I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."
This is a powerful statement that Jesus spoke in Matthew 25:36. We believe strongly in our prison/jail ministry. This is a place where faith is strengthened not only for the inmates but also for the ministers. We meet men that have more freedom in their life behind bars than many people walking the streets. On Thursday evenings we spend a couple of hours with our brothers learning the Word of God, fellowshipping, preaching the gospel, and sharing testimonies. This ministry is very rewarding for us because we get to see the fruit that is produced in these men. I would like to share with you just a few of the testimonies of the way God has been working in these men.
Ten of the brothers came together one night to pray for a nine year old child that was close to death. Two days later she was back home feeling fine. Another testimony is they had received mustard seeds as a reminder of how little faith it took to move a mountain. They had left the seeds in their bibles and some had wrapped them in lint they had found in their cells. A few weeks later the seeds began to grow and within a couple of days from then they had grew one inch sprouts. There have been instances of physical deliverances from drug addictions right in the middle of church services. The men come to the services expecting God to show up, to have their questions answered, and to see real results. We all are very anxious to see the miracles that will continue to flow as God blesses this ministry.
